Hi. My name is Jonathan Degani. I am an American Oleh who came to Israel with American spending habits and ambitions of becoming a big shot American businessman in Israel in order to support my spendthrift lifestyle. Reality finally settled in when the stock market crashed 20 minutes after I finished MBA.
Being in a tight situation, I embarked on a financial odyssey where I learned to overcome my financial irresponsibility, live within my means, and enjoy a happier, more meaningful life. Shomer Shekalim aims to share the knowledge I learned and continue to learn in order to empower people to take control of their lives financially by making personal finance simple, approachable, and real.
I currently live in Petah Tikvah with my wonderful wife and adorable son with whom I work to maintain a בית נאמן בישראל.
